Over the years I have spent a great deal of time at Le Pin. I've come to love these couple of hectares not just for the wine but simply for the people who I've met. To me it is magic. Jacques Thienpont is a man of calm and kindness. It is what I think of every time I drink Le Pin.
When Diana Garcia Berrouet took over I instantly knew Jacques had found the perfect successor.
This essay spans a five year period starting in 2016. (Well, except for the first photograph which dates back in time to when I first started travelling in Bordeaux some 20 odd years ago.) It will give you an absolutely unique glimpse behind the velvet curtain. I hope you will gain some insight and take some emotion with you for the next time you are lucky enough to drink a bottle of Le Pin.
